In early October, Lantana Water placed an ad on a billboard on Highway 71 West near Spicewood. The billboard advertises water delivery services for filling swimming pools, cisterns, and troughs to the Central Texas region. Tuesday deliveries in the Marble Falls region has commenced.
As a personal desire to promote dark skies in Central Texas, and not be part of the problem, the owner, Ken Gray, is having the billboard lights turned off at 10 p.m. instead of midnight.
